Our Deep Tissue Massage is targeted, effective and tailored to your needs. Whether you are dealing with lower back pain or shoulder and neck pain, deep tissue massage can help restore function, decrease pain, and improve the health of muscles and joints. Our goal is to provide sessions that carry you through the month feeling relaxed and restored.
Deep tissue massage engages multiple layers of muscle tissue providing optimal circulation, muscle relaxation, and tension relief. Pressure ranges from medium to high, providing a safe and effective way to manage chronic pain and tightness. Our RMT's will tailor each session specifically for your needs so you can walk away feeling restored.
Ever felt a "knot" in the back of your shoulder blades. These local points of tightness can be caused by chronic muscle tension, poor postural habits, or excessive accumulation of lactic acid and other muscular byproducts. Getting Deep Tissue Massage can help restore balance in these overly stressed muscles and reduce pain.
Applying medium to deep pressure allows our RMT's to effectively engage multiple layers of muscle and connective tissue. Although at times mildly uncomfortable, out RMT's are trained to instruct patients to breath through tough areas and regulate pressure to ensure your treatment is safe and effective. For many people 7 out of 10 on our pressure scale is enough to achieve desired results. Since everyone experiences pressure differently we always check in throughout your treatments to ensure your comfort is first priority.
Circulation is a core feature and benefit of deep tissue massage. Increasing blood flow to chronically tight shoulder muscles helps to speed up recovery, relax muscles, and promote nervous system responses which "dial down" muscle tension.
Deep tissue massage is great at helping to improve mobility. Think of tightness when bending your knee. Tight thigh muscles can cause pain and tightness when trying to squat or stretch your leg. By applying enough pressure to your thigh muscles during a massage we can address biomechanical limitations and improve range of motion to your knee joint. Our team of RMT's are trained to understand the link between tight muscles and joint function.
Deep tissue massage can often be mildly uncomfortable at times. We define deep tissue massage as anything between 5-10 on the pressure scale. Your comfort is our first priority so we always check in during sessions to make sure the pressure is tolerable. Want less pressure? No problem! Just let our RMT's know exactly what your comfortable with. We are here to make sure you have the best experience possible.
No deep tissue massage doesn't typically leave bruising. While everyone's body is slightly different, minor bruising can occur on bodies sensitive to pressure. Our goal is always to make sure your massage is safe, effective and comfortable
Absolutely! Often times our deep tissue massage includes therapeutic elements like relaxation techniques. Because the body can only sustain so much pressure to one particular region, our RMT's often include lighter pressure techniques throughout the session to sooth muscles after sustaining deep tissue work.
