Custom Orthotic Research

Custom foot orthotics have been shown in clinical research to reduce foot pain and improve comfort in many patients, particularly in conditions such as plantar fasciitis and mechanical overload syndromes.

Research also suggests that orthotics may help improve lower limb alignment and reduce stress on the knees and ankles in some individuals.

While results vary depending on the individual and condition, many patients experience meaningful improvements in pain, function, and daily comfort when orthotics are combined with appropriate clinical care.

Pedorthic Care & Expertise

Pedorthists are healthcare professionals who specialize in the assessment and management of conditions affecting the foot and lower limb through footwear modifications, orthotics, and bracing.

Why Custom Orthotics?

Foot Pain & Plantar Fasciitis

Chronic foot pain can arise from various causes, with Plantar Fasciitis being a commonly diagnosed condition that leads to heel pain and a burning or stabbing sensation in the bottom of your foot. To alleviate issues like Plantar Fasciitis, it’s essential to provide your foot with adequate arch support. Custom orthotics can serve as an effective solution for ensuring healthy and resilient feet, especially when sourced from Kitchener orthotics providers.

Flat Feet

Our custom orthotics are specifically designed to address postural concerns such as flat feet, which can lead to chronic foot pain. Having low arches or flat feet can contribute to discomfort in your ankles, knees, and even lower back joints. To combat these issues, ensuring a strong foundation with Kitchener orthotics is essential for proper biomechanics and weight displacement with each step.

Knee Pain

The biomechanics of the leg require a solid foundation at the feet, as issues like chronic foot pain can significantly affect the knee. When our arch collapses or is flat, our knees tend to roll inwards, creating a cascade effect that leaves our knee joints vulnerable to chronic pain. If you're looking for effective solutions, consider visiting one of the massage places in Kitchener, or explore options for custom orthotics and Kitchener orthotics for better support.

Lower Back Pain

Occupations such as nursing or factory work require you to be on your feet for long hours, often leading to chronic foot pain. The compressive forces from prolonged standing can create discomfort in the lower back as body weight exerts compounding stress on back joints. Custom orthotics, specifically designed for your feet, offer additional support, diminish the impact from walking and standing for extended periods, and alleviate stress on your lower back joints. If you're in need of relief, consider Kitchener orthotics to help manage your discomfort.

Pain Management

Overall pain management is one of the primary goals for getting custom orthotics, especially for those suffering from chronic foot pain. Whether it's for foot, ankle, knee, or back pain, Kitchener orthotics are a valuable addition to your health and wellness.

Joint Health

Preventing chronic foot pain is always better than managing joint pain. If you notice that your feet are consistently sore or if your legs feel painful from standing, custom orthotics may be the solution you need. For those in need of support, Kitchener orthotics can provide the necessary relief.

With a doctors note - most people have Orthotic coverage under their extended health care benefit plans. Amount of coverage depends on plan. Please verify coverage amount by looking at your insurance coverage.

Yes, please bring a doctors note so we can begin processing your orthotics on that day. If you book a orthotics appointment without a doctors note, our service charge is $150, otherwise it is included in cost of Orthotics.

Orthotics are paid to order, meaning we must receive payment upfront before getting them designed and manufactured. We will send you an official receipt for you to submit to your insurance company once you receive your orthotics. If you have any questions feel free to call us directly.

Sourcing the best lab and ensuring the best quality materials used is what makes our orthotics a premium product. Most orthotics will be ready for pickup 2 weeks after your initial appointment, but our Pedorthist will be in contact with you to update you along the process.
